I can’t tell you how happy I am with this product. I included my strava screen shots from my last three rides so you can see the temperatures we ride in, and this is only the start, 97 degrees and climbing. Why does this matter? Several reasons, 2+ hours is high heat and humidity will suck the life out of a cyclist. The snacks we carry are on our backs in our jersey pockets so a lot of products melt and become a disaster to eat. Not BonkBreakers! First they will get soft and sticky in high heat, so use the wrapper so you don’t get it all over your fingers but even so this is the best tasting snack bar I have ever tried. What I love most is that it didn’t leave that sweet taste in my mouth that is difficult to get ride of. I’ve had bars in the past that left that sweet taste in my mouth that made me almost feel like I was going to be sick, BonkBreakers are easy on the digestion, so you can get back on your bike and roll. I could not be more pleased with my purchase. These are very sweet. If you like coconut you will like these. If you have any reservation about coconut what so ever this is not for you.I ate one at 7 in the morning and it kept me happy until about 10, three hours later. They aren't too big and are easy to eat. They aren't dry and one can eat one without water or a drink if they were so inclined.I am always looking for the perfect energy bar. These are pretty good but they aren't all the way there yet. One is good enough to satisfy most people. I can't imagine anyone eating more than one.Pricewise they are right in line with pretty much every other bar out there. All in all, these are solid and are a good addition to a morning regime.Love these! Used to be a Clif Bar aficionado, but quickly made the switch after my first Bonk Breaker bar. I train for Ironman distance events, so nutrition is key - that's why they're the official sponsor of Ironman events. Here's my take:+ dense: they're small, but they're moist and pack in a lot more nutrition/flavor. you can easily get 100+ calories in 3 bites (half a bar). the small size makes lots of them easy to carry in a back pocket too.+ natural: they're organic, non-GMO and only have a few natural ingredients you can pronounce. read the label as they have a short shelf life of just a few months, meaning no preservatives.+ gluten free: no bloating, irritated stomach lining and they fill you up/taste like real food.Only con, is yes, the $3/bar retail price, but find the flavors you like and buy in bulk for ~$2+/bar.I personally love chocolate (and look forward to these on long training days hehe) and my favorites are the PB Choc Chip, Almond Cherry Chunk (high protein), and Espresso Chip when I need a kick of caffeine. I use these PBJ (high protein) and fig when I want something subtly sweet, but not chocolate-y, especially on the hotter training days.Enjoy!I’m a runner and I’ve switched to this product over Clif bars. Taste great, not heavily filling, and gives energy needed to endure.First time trying Bonk Breaker. I’m an avid cyclist/racer. I’ve been getting more in to longer, more mountainous rides and have been focusing on proper nutrition to fuel these effort. Just completed 70 mile ride with 9,000 feet of climbing. Had 1 of these 3 hrs in, a couple bottles of Perpetuem and a couple Gu’s and I was fueled and felt great all day. Great flavor, easy to chew, neutral on the stomach and kept me feeling satisfactorily full for hours.Bonk Breakers have been my favorite nutrition for triathlon for the past 6 months. I received one in a monthly subscription service and absolutely loved it for my long bike rides. During training they worked out very well. These kept me energized for the entirety of a few olympic distance training sessions as well as a few sprints. Ultimately, I found that they are too dry for the long course. I couldn't eat them without downing a lot of water at the same time. This makes them difficult to get down while moving.Because of that, I have to say that I will likely not use them anymore for long courses, but can say I would likely use them for short course and training. The flavor on the coconut cashew is great as well. It actually tastes like coconut and I like that a lot.I’m a Bonk Bar guy so these are great. I used to get these from Whole Foods near me but they stopped selling them which was a bummer. They taste great however, the price is just too have. $30 bucks for 12 bars is just expensive, especially compared to other comparable bars. These used to be awesome bars, even if they were a little expensive at $29.95 using subscribe and save for 12 of the relatively small 2.2 oz bars. They are so good, they are almost like eating cookie dough with chocolate, cherries, and almonds. They also provided good quick energy and were a decent source of protein with 13 grams. Now, Bonk Breaker has reduced the size to a paltry 1.76 oz with only 9 grams of protein. We didn't realize they shrunk because we didn't look closely enough at our most recent purchase. Then, when we got them, we noticed they were drastically smaller. We're not talking a little trim to reduce cost and make a little more profit. Instead we are talking about a 20% reduction in size and a massive reduction of 31% of the protein, all while still charging the same price. At the time of this review, the ones being offered here are are still 2.2 oz with 13 grams of protein, but they are $38.19 instead of the normal price of $34.43 (without subscribe and save). Thus, they are a little more expensive, but when they run out, you will likely pay $33.00 (at least that is what they charge on the Bonk Breaker site) for the new drastically smaller ones.I will leave it up to you as to whether you want to buy them. However, for us, they seem so tiny now, they are not worth it. I will miss these because they were so tasty. This is a good new flavour addition to the Bonk Breaker collection.
