I'm always trying to find this product in stores but when I do it averages nearly $7 a bag. This is an unbeatable value all around. I would say if your not familiar with the gluten free desserts you may not like it as well... but for us, it sure beats the gastrointestinal discomfort associated with gluten products.REVIEW OF CORNBREAD: Tastes just like "real" cornbread. If you want to make it out of this world, add one can of corn kernels and two cups of shredded cheese. (We use the Mexican four-cheese blend.)REVIEW OF PUMPKIN BREAD: I rue the day I discovered this pumpkin bread mix. It is AMAZING. I turned it into muffins. The directions say the package makes 12 muffins, but next time I'm more likely to put less in each cup and make 15 or 16 muffins. They really poofed up. I have been experimenting with pumpkin lately. I made my own pumpkin muffins and pumpkin bread pudding; that little adventure convinced me that I must only like pumpkin when it's in pie. This mix changed my mind.BE AWARE that the sugar content is ridiculous. The package says it contains 12g of sugar per serving, but it also claims to be 16 servings, despite the fact that it only makes 12 muffins. Seriously, nobody is going to eat only 1/16th of the finished product. It's just way too good. It's also very light and not at all filling. If you do make 12 muffins, that's already 16g of sugar per muffin, which is around 4 teaspoons. And if you turn it into bread, that slice is going to be more than the equivalent of one muffin. Just something to be aware of in case you're watching your sugar intake. At least one of the six was busted and had cake mix all over the packages. There was no simple way to report this to Pamela’s and I don’t want to spend hours dealing with it for a few hours. But just beware future buyers if you truly are expecting to get 6 good packages…I will say I’ve loved this brand choco cake for years and it’s the only one my family ever wants. Truly can’t beat the flavor and moistness especially if you use a cup of sour cream in the mix! This is my favorite cornbread mix. It is moist and delicious. Also you can decide if you want to add less sugar since it is not in the mix. I definitely recommend this mix.My grandson loves these cookies. He is 18 and autistic and we make these every Saturday morning. No other will do. They are his “cookies bigger”This is the best gluten free chocolate cake mix ever!! I substitute applesauce instead of eggs and use olive oil. SO DELICIOUS!! Moist, fluffy! SO good.My husband and I have tried several GF cookie mixes and this one is the best. One note - we like to substitute Smart Balance butter instead of standard butter because it gives the cookies a crispy edge with a more cake-like center (our preference). Regular butter will give you an all-over crispier texture throughout. Either way, we highly recommend. Enjoy!Delicious! My husband (who is not gluten free) says this comes out even better than Jiffy. I can’t compare to that but this is certainly my favorite mix of all the gluten free that I’ve tried. Bonus points for getting my husband to love it perhaps even more than me, I love being able to eliminate duplicate items (gluten-full and gluten free) on the grocery list between him and I. Highly recommend!
