It seems to be helping me with my migraines. I was skeptical. I started to feel a difference in about 2 weeks when I finally had slight headache pain one morning after weeks of throbbing pain. After a few days I have enjoyed some pain free days. Of course it’s not totally cured. Unfortunately I don’t think there is a cure for migraines yet but this helps. It’s been a month, I will cut down to 2 pills a day and see what happens.I bought this brand because my favorite brands Solary and Swanson were unavailable. I have taken butterbur for years with great results. I chose this brand because of its reputation and I was disappointed that it didn't keep my headaches in check and my headaches actually came back. I took the same dosage I was taken of the Solary or Swanson brands.Must be taken daily, but seems to really help prevent cluster headaches. Small pill easy to swallow. Only negative is that is expensive.Made me feel weird and didn’t do anything for my migraines.As another user mentioned, this is stronger acting than over the counter medication. However in my case it takes a little longer to take effect. I find it takes about 1 week to reach full effect and once it is in effect you probably won't be using any Benadryl, Motrin, or anything else you previously used at all. I have migraines, allergies, and headaches. It works very well for reducing the pain I get in my head from all of the previous. I went through about 4 months going in and out of the hospital getting all types of scans and blood tests; in which I was given everything from antibiotics to Prednisone to Codeine and nothing worked as well as this in the long term after it was established I have some time of brain swelling (though the doctors still won't give me a definitive answer as to the cause!). In the end, the only thing detected that is wrong with me is severe allergies and supposedly unrelated brain inflammation! I think it is a severe mold allergy because it started when I moved near a swamp, but the allergist refuses to hear this and calls mold allergies a sham. The neurologist was the one who said he was not going to draw any conclusions but thought I should take this and I bought a bottle from him and have not had to return :) Anyway, that is my story, I hope this review helps others. I am looking to find a cheaper version of this somewhere. The only down side of this medication is that it is expensive. But when I run out if I don't have anywhere else to turn I will HAVE to buy here. I hope the price will be lowered at some point...Having migraines on a frequent basis and my Dr. recommended this product. I've been on it for a month and taking it once a day with excellent results! If I have the slightest hint of a migraine or headache, I up the dose. But that has hardly happened. Definitely keeping this product well-stocked in my cabinet!
