My family and I are big fans of the local socal korean fusion restaurant chain "Flame Broiler". We have been trying to mimic the recipe but no local supermarkets sell short grain brown rice. This style of rice is definitely hitting close. It tastes like you get a larger serving of the potential protein that can come from brown rice and less of the indigestible stuff. From what I can tell it cooks 1cuprice to 2cupwater as normal, we will be trying with partial beef broth when cooking next.I cook this rice in my rice cooker and it comes out just fine. I also blend it with long grain brown rice and it taste great. It is a good value for the 1 gallon that seals tight. The one gallon is about 7 lbs of rice.My favorite type of rice. I have made this brand several times since purchasing it. It's less expensive than the name-brand ones but tastes the same. It has a nutty, chewy texture and flavor. It's excellent with stir-fried vegetables and tamari sauce. I love that it comes in a sturdy plastic bucket.I have not purchased yet but will the product seems like it is worth the money. The one star should be removed as the complaint was it was sticky rice.Japanese eat sticky rice , Chinese eat long grain which is not sticky. To cook brown rice one part rice to two parts water. I personally use one part rice to two and quarter parts water allowing for evaporation. This is sticky rice. I hated it and threw it out. And no instructions on the bucket for cooking. A waste of money.
